Our work with Metin Salih

Printed table tops for Metin Salih

What was the brief from Metin Salih? Print images of his art onto tables. The finish had to be high-end, glossy and hard-wearing.

What were the limitations? We were limited by the thickness of the table tops. In order to print directly onto the table tops, they had to be a maximum of 50mm thick and 2.5m x 1.5m in size.

Were there any problems during the printing process? None that we couldn't find a solution to!

What steps were taken to produce the final product? The table top sides were taped to avoid excess ink spreading, then we used foamex to test the print and finishes. When we were happy with the result, we printed direct to the table tops on our Swiss Q flatbed. We finished the prints with a primer for extra durability.

Where are the tables being used? The tables were sold to the Middle East (Dubai and Abu Dhabi).

What does the client say? "Wow! wow! wow! I'm super impressed."
