Small Format Finishing

Saddle Stitch

Stitching means stapling – saddle stitching comes from the way that the sheets are hung over a stand that looks like a saddle when they are stapled together.

Once the pages have been folded and collated correctly they are stapled. Saddle stitching typically uses wire staples, but for a unique and hand finished piece we can thread as well - known as thread sewn.

It's ideal for small booklets, programmes, newsletters, direct mailers and catalogues.
